01 — Concept
Client-side recording
Most communication platforms send your voice to the server, where it is compressed and then recorded. PodSync changes this paradigm by recording directly on each user's computer. By capturing audio locally, we prevent network fluctuations from affecting sound resolution.
If your internet connection flickers, the recording on your hard drive remains perfect and consistent, without the annoying skips or distortions typical of VoIP calls. Each participant's voice is saved on their own device, and synchronization happens afterward, when the network allows.

02 — Preparation
Initial setup and peripheral testing
Before entering the virtual room, the system performs an automatic diagnostic of connected components. We detect the camera, microphone, and headphones to ensure the configuration is optimal. In this step, creators can mute notifications and verify that the browser has the necessary permissions to access the hardware.
It is an essential filter to avoid losing an hour-long interview due to having accidentally selected the wrong microphone in the operating system settings. The check takes less than a minute and covers three points: capture device, input level, and browser permissions.
03 — Access
Invitation via secure, ephemeral links
Access to recording rooms is managed via unique security tokens. As a host, you generate a link that you can send via email or messaging apps. The guest does not need to create an account or remember complex passwords. By clicking, they enter directly into an environment designed for production, where they only have to worry about their contribution.
This simplicity is vital for working with high-profile guests who have little time for technical setups. The link automatically expires at the end of the session, so no door remains open to the room once the recording is finished.
04 — Upload
Automatic cloud track synchronization
During the chat, PodSync progressively uploads small data packets to our servers. This process happens in the background and is designed not to consume all of the user's bandwidth, always prioritizing the stability of visual communication. Once the recording stops, the system performs a final check to ensure all local tracks have uploaded correctly.
The result is a set of perfectly chronologically aligned files, ready to import into any editing software like Adobe Audition or DaVinci Resolve. There is no need to align tracks by hand: the system marks the start point for each participant and matches the files with millisecond precision.
05 — Monitoring
Remote monitoring and live assistance
The producer has a global view of what is happening on all participants' devices. If a guest has an audio level that is too low or if their camera is deactivated, the host receives an immediate visual alert. This technical supervision capability allows for correcting problems on the spot, rather than discovering them when the recording is already finished and it is too late to retake the shot.
The peace of mind of knowing that everything is working correctly is what allows talent to shine in front of the microphone. The monitoring panel shows input volume, camera status, and latency for each participant on a single screen.
06 — Delivery
Processing and export of raw files
Unprocessed audio
Once the session is finished, PodSync does not apply destructive filters or equalizations. We deliver the material exactly as it was captured by the hardware. 24-bit WAV files are the industry standard for editing and post-production.
High-quality video
Videos are delivered in high-bitrate MP4 format, ready for editing. By receiving individual tracks (multitrack), the editor has total freedom to clean background noise on a specific track without affecting the other speakers.
This approach facilitates a professional and balanced final mix. Each voice remains on its own track, with its own dynamic range, for the editor to decide how to process it.
07 — Protection
Security and redundant storage
Your recordings are valuable assets. That is why we use encrypted storage and redundant backups during the upload process. Data is temporarily stored in secure data centers until the host decides to download or permanently archive it.
We implement security protocols that ensure only individuals authorized by the account owner can access the recorded content, protecting the intellectual property of each episode. Access requires host authentication and invitation links are single-use.
08 — Adaptation
Optimization for different bandwidths
Although local recording does not depend on internet speed for final quality, real-time communication does. PodSync uses adaptive algorithms that adjust the video preview quality based on each user's network strength.
This ensures that the conversation flows naturally, without awkward delays that cause participants to talk over each other, maintaining the dynamic and spontaneity necessary for a good podcast. If a participant's network drops below a certain threshold, their video resolution is reduced but their local audio continues to be recorded at maximum quality.
